About Emma.
Emma has been in the golf industry for 20 years as both a high level amateur player and former Division I College Coach. She is currently an LPGA Class B Teaching Professional and TPI Level 1 Certified.
Emma’s career in golf began at just 11 years old when she started competing in the Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation throughout Australia where she was born and raised. After a successful junior career she made the leap to college on a full scholarship at Washington State University from 2009-13.
After graduation she spent a year continuing to play amateur golf and working at a semi-private golf club in Australia. Emma then returned to the Palouse to begin her coaching career as WSU’s first ever full-time women’s Assistant Coach in 2014. Emma was promoted to Associate Head Coach in the Fall of 2021. At the conclusion of the 2023 season Emma transitioned into a new role as the Director of Operations for the WSU men’s & women’s golf teams and women’s tennis, allowing her to spend more time at home with her family and teach private lessons.
While coaching Emma continued her education in golf through the LPGA Teacher Education Program and the Titleist Performance Institute. She believes everyone has their own authentic golf swing according to the way their body moves and what it allows them to do. Emma is a life-long learner and is passionate about helping people learn more about their golf game at every level, from beginners to experienced players.
Off the golf course Emma is married to Dustin White, the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Washington State University. They have a son together, Finn, who they hope will enjoy golf as much as they do one day!
